Beaverton, OR — Joan Coulson passed away on February 18th, in Beaverton, OR after a long
battle with progressive dementia.
Born Joan Elizabeth Dade on June 18th, 1937 in San Bernadino, CA she spent her youth in Washougal, WA and graduated from Washington State University. She married Thomas Coulson in 1964, and they lived in
Los Banos, CA where they had 2 children, Christopher and Chad, and where she worked for over 30years in the computer lab at Henry Miller Elementary. She was an avid gardener and reader and she cherished her many travels to Ireland and Scotland with friends and family and is remembered fondly by all that knew her.
Joan is predeceased by her husband Tom and her son Chris and is survived by her son Chad Coulson of Beaverton, Oregon, and her brother Bill Dade of Washington. She will be interred next to her husband at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella and a Celebration of Life will be planned with her family and friends.
