Los Banos, California, a shooting incident occurred on Tuesday morning, behind the Home Depot located on the 1900 block of E. Pachecho Boulevard, resulting in one person being injured. At around 11 a.m., law enforcement officials responded to reports of a man suffering from an injury consistent with a gunshot wound. Upon their arrival, officers found a 39-year-old man with a severe eye injury caused by a non-bullet projectile, specifically a high-powered pellet. The victim, who was promptly taken to a local hospital, was later reported to be in stable condition.

The investigation led by the Los Banos Police Department revealed critical evidence at the scene, including the discovery of a high-powered pellet-style rifle. Medical personnel were able to remove the pellet from the victim’s head, further linking the weapon found at the scene to the incident. The following day, police identified 51-year-old Jason Timoteo of Los Banos as the suspect.

Jason Timoteo was stopped and arrested on Wednesday afternoon in the 2200 block of E. Pachecho Boulevard. He faces charges of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon. Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact Detective Stephan O’Day at 209-827-7070 ext. 2554.
