LOS BANOS, CA (July 30th, 2025) — Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria, in partnership with community groups, is hosting a free backpack giveaway and resource fair for local students on Saturday August 2nd, from 10 a.m to 12 p.m. at The Los Banos Community Center.
More than 1,000 backpacks will be distributed on a first‑come, first‑served basis, with children required to be present to receive them. The event also will feature free food, health screenings, games, raffles, and access to state and local service providers.
This community event aims to support families and students as the school year approaches and provides an opportunity to connect residents with essential services and resources.
