Start of the Tiger basketball league season

Los Banos High School’s basketball season is well underway with both girls’ and boys’ teams making waves on the court. The girls’ varsity team has had an intense season so far, with a current league record of 2-2. JV girls have a record of 1-3, while Frosh is 0-3. Fortunately for the Los Banos girls’ teams, there is only going up from here. The lady Tigers will hopefully begin picking up more momentum as the season progresses.

The boys’ varsity team has begun the season with a bang. With a current record of 5-0, Los Banos boys’ varsity basketball is dominating the WAC league. This is a great start to the season as their momentum is in full throttle. Angel Resendiz, Caleb Robertson and Kayson Welch have been key contributors to the teams winning streak. Welch averages 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists; Resendiz averages 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and Robertson averages 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. The Varsity team has been known for their high-powered offense, which has been another key factor in their success for this season. JV Boys are on the come up with the record of 2-3. Freshman boys are having a rocky start with a record of 1-4. Both the girls and boys teams have been working hard in practice to improve their skills and to be at their best for the remainder of the season. Both teams are looking forward to possibly making it to the playoffs and are determined to make it as far as possible. The support of the school, the community, and the fans has been a big boost for the teams, and they are grateful for all the support they have been receiving. The basketball season is far from over, and both teams are excited for what the future holds.
