Jerry Ray Parson May 15, 1941 – April 10, 2024

Jerry Ray Parson, 82 of Turlock passed away on April 10, 2024 at Alexander Cohan Hospice House in Hughson.

Mr. Parson was born in Fredericktown, Missouri to Arley Parson and Gladys Haggard and was a resident of Turlock for many years. He was a general contractor for most of his life and he retired from the city of Los Banos in 1995 as Chief Building Inspector. He was an avid golfer at the Turlock Golf and Country Club and would take his dog, Pee Wee with him. He loved attending his grandkids and great grandkids sports and rodeo events. Jerry was known by most as Papa.

He was survived by his wife of 67 years, Linda Parson; son, Shane (Kim) Parson of Ceres; daughter, Tracie (Steve) Bracken of Patterson; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna; brother, Dennis and grandson, Garrett Ray Torres.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, April 22, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar. Interment will be private.

Services conducted by Hillview Funeral Chapel, Patterson.
