Los Banos, CA (January 21, 2026) — A trio of California Lottery players turned a simple $10 purchase into seven-figure luck in the San Francisco 49ers Game Day Scratchers game, with one winning entry tied directly to Los Banos.
According to the California Lottery and state officials, the special NFL-themed scratch-off game, launched in August 2025 and featuring top prizes of $1 million, delivered multiple million-dollar wins across the state.
While several players struck the $1 million jackpot in other parts of California, including Bay Area and Central Coast locations, the Los Banos connection came through the game’s Second-Chance Bonus Draw. Three participants in that additional draw earned once-in-a-lifetime Super Bowl LX experiences, including tickets to the Feb. 8 championship game at Levi’s Stadium and $15,000 in cash, and one of those winning entries was purchased right here in Los Banos according to the California Lottery.
The California Lottery’s Game Day Scratchers promotion allowed fans of the 49ers, Rams and Chargers to enter non-winning tickets into a bonus pool for extra prizes and experiences.
The main scratchers game has now ended, with all prizes claimed, and the last day to claim winnings from the 49ers edition is July 19, 2026, state officials say.
Lottery representatives note that proceeds from scratchers and other lottery games support California public schools, with billions raised for education since the lottery’s inception in 1985.
