Los Banos, CA (March 10, 2026) –Construction on the new pickleball courts at the Los Banos Ag Sports Complex continues to move forward, with crews completing a key milestone in the project.
According to an update shared on the City of Los Banos’ official social media pages, construction crews have finished pouring the final concrete slab that will serve as the foundation for the new courts. The project is now transitioning into the next stage of construction.
City Inspector Anna Chavez provided the latest progress update on the project.
“The final concrete slab for the pickleball courts has been poured. Over the next couple of weeks, the electrical work is expected to be completed, along with some landscaping next to Court 1,” Chavez said in the city’s update.
The new courts are being constructed at the Los Banos Ag Sports Complex, a city-owned recreation facility that hosts a variety of community sporting events and activities.
Pickleball — a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong — has seen rapid growth across the United States in recent years. Communities across California have been adding dedicated courts to meet increasing demand from players of all ages.
City officials have previously promoted the project as part of broader efforts to expand recreational opportunities in Los Banos and to provide additional amenities at the Ag Sports Complex.
Upcoming work is expected to include electrical installation and landscaping improvements near the courts.
Additional updates on the project are expected as construction progresses.
