LOS BANOS, CA (October 22, 2025) — On Saturday morning, October 18, 2025, a small group of local residents gathered at Pacheco Park for a “No Kings” protest. The two-hour demonstration, which began around 10 a.m., remained peaceful and orderly. The event was one of many nationwide “No Kings” demonstrations held that day, part of a coordinated movement. According to nokings.com, the message of the movement is “America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people”
For Los Banos, the turnout was modest. Participants held up homemade signs with slogans like “No Kings” and some even waved American flags in defiance of any suggestion that their message was unpatriotic.
On the same day, a “No Kings” rally in nearby Merced drew over 1,000 people to that city’s Courthouse Park, and other Central Valley cities like Modesto had similar turnouts. Nationwide, the “No Kings” protests took place in roughly 2,500 locations. While turnout in Los Banos was small compared to neighboring cities, the event reflected local engagement in the nationwide “No Kings” movement.
