Los Banos, CA (November 11, 2025) — The City of Los Banos will host a Ground-Breaking Ceremony on November 21st, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm for the One Tree Permanent Supportive Housing Project funded by the California Encampment Resolution Fund and the Central California Alliance for Health Housing Fund.
The “One Tree” housing project for residents experiencing homelessness is made possible through an $11.8 million dollar grant from the California Encampment Resolution Fund (ERF) Grant and a $2.5 million dollar grant from the Central California Alliance for Health Housing Funds.
“Central California Alliance for Health (the Alliance) is proud to partner with the City of Los Banos on the One Tree Project Permanent Supportive Housing development through the Alliance Housing Fund,” said Michael Schrader, Chief Executive Officer at the Alliance.
“In collaboration with state and local funding partners, this project reflects our shared commitment to improving health and wellbeing across communities. Together, we are strengthening the foundation for lasting change and creating pathways toward stability and housing for those who need it the most – a true reflection of our shared vision of Healthy People, Healthy Communities.”
The project consists of up to fifty (50) one (1) bedroom units, four (4) two (2) bedroom units, and four (4) three (3) bedroom units of modular Permanent Supportive Housing and services for people experiencing homelessness in the city’s encampment and homeless shelters. The project was developed with the input of the people it aims to serve.

The ceremony will take place at the project site located behind the Pacheco Court Apartment complex at the end of Gilbert Gonzalez Drive in Los Banos, CA and will celebrate the commencement of the project’s construction and the benefits it will bring to the people of Los Banos in need of affordable housing.

City Officials will be in attendance to speak about the project. The Public is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be available. Street parking is available, but may be limited. Additional parking will be available on the project site. Please dress warmly and wear durable shoes.
