Los Banos, CA (December 1, 2025) — Los Banos resident Stuart McCullough has earned national recognition after winning the Senior World Duck-Calling Championship at the 2025 Wings Over the Prairie Festival in Stuttgart, Arkansas. According to the published results of the competition, McCullough secured the top title in the Senior division, placing him among an elite class of callers who compete annually in one of the most prestigious duck-calling events in the world. His victory stands out in a year when Arkansas competitors dominated most categories, making his accomplishment especially notable for both California and the West Coast calling community.
While Arkansas callers claimed the majority of wins across Youth, Intermediate, Women’s, and Main World divisions, the Senior bracket was an exception — with McCullough representing Los Banos at the top of the standings.
The World Duck-Calling Championship, held annually since 1936, remains one of the most recognized events in competitive calling and draws participants and spectators from across the country. McCullough’s win adds a new point of pride for local residents who follow waterfowl traditions and outdoor sports.
