Homeless Woman Injured in Los Banos by City Worker Operating Heavy Equipment

LOS BANOS, CA — A woman was injured on Thursday, May 15, after being struck by heavy equipment operated by a city worker during a cleanup effort in Los Banos.

According to officials, the incident occurred while city crews were clearing debris using a backhoe with a hydraulic bucket. The woman, who was reportedly unhoused, was in a pile of debris at the time and was not seen by the equipment operator.

Emergency services responded to the scene, and the woman was transported to a local hospital. Her current condition has not been released.

The Los Banos Police Department is investigating the incident. No further details have been made public.
