LOS BANOS, CA (July 30th, 2025) — A Ford pickup truck crashed into the lower level of the a hotel in Los Banos early Monday evening, according to the Los Banos Fire Department.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Pacheco Boulevard and J Street, where emergency crews responded to a call reporting a vehicle collision involving a building.
Firefighters arrived to find a single Ford pickup truck embedded into the ground floor of the hotel. The driver was evaluated at the scene and did not sustain serious injuries, officials said.
No other injuries were reported, and there were no evacuations ordered at the time of the incident.
The building, however, sustained significant structural damage. Fire officials noted that the hotel will require extensive repairs before the damaged portion of the building can be used again.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It is not yet known whether drugs, alcohol, or mechanical issues played a role.
Authorities have not released the identity of the driver, and no charges or citations have been announced as of Tuesday.
