Merced, CA (November 20, 2025) — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed late Wednesday night in Merced, according to the Merced Police Department. Officers responded to the area of U Street and Fourth Street at around 10 p.m., where they found a juvenile suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. ABC30 reports that family members identified the victim as Davarion Granados.
According to the victim’s mother, Davarion was walking home from a friend’s house when a white car approached and shots were fired. Police have not confirmed any suspect information, a motive, or whether the vehicle described is connected to the shooting. No arrests have been announced, and investigators say the case remains active.
