
Los Banos, CA (September 26, 2025) — On September 15, 2025, the Los Banos Police Department responded when a victim approached Officer Gonzalez and reported that he had been threatened at a Mobil gas station on Overland Avenue. The suspect allegedly drew a firearm, threatened the victim, and forcibly took his cell phone. The next day, the victim encountered the same individual at a local park. During this confrontation, the suspect reportedly pointed a gun, attempted to stab and physically assault the victim, and issued further threats while indicating he had been following him.
Detectives reviewed video surveillance and other evidence, ultimately identifying the suspect as Gustavo Angel Carrera De Haro. Authorities secured an arrest warrant charging him with robbery (PC 211), assault with a deadly weapon (PC 245(a)(1)), child endangerment (PC 273a(a)), stalking (PC 646.9(a)), and brandishing a firearm (PC 417(a)(2)).
On September 24, Officer Gonzalez conducted a traffic stop and arrested Carrera De Haro without incident. Investigators also executed a residential search warrant, recovering a black Glock pistol consistent with the victim’s description. According to public records, Carrera De Haro, 25, a resident of Los Banos, was booked into jail on the listed charges. His bail was set at $180,000.
