Los Banos Actress Gitzelle Villa to Appear in World Premiere of Original Musical “In Color”

Los Banos, CA (September 17, 2025) — Los Banos Native Gitzelle Villa, will star in the upcoming original musical In Color, premiering this fall in the Central Valley. The production will run from October 30 through November 9, 2025, at the Warkentine Culture and Arts Center’s Lyles Auditorium, located on the campus of Fresno Pacific University.

Written and directed by Joy Ndombeson, In Color is described by the production team as “a story about the wounds we carry — and the love that heals them.” The musical features original songs, a diverse cast, and a storyline rooted in emotional themes of healing and connection.

Villa is part of a cast that includes Trinity Mikel, Isabella Garcia, Heidi Hodges, Joy Ndombeson, Noel Adams, Melinda Gunning, Nathan Guevara, and others. The show is co-produced by Ndombeson Productions and Near Far Theatre, both Central Valley–based arts organizations known for community-based storytelling and collaborative projects.

Performance Dates and Details:

  • Evening Shows: October 30 & 31, November 1, 7, and 8 at 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday Matinees: November 2 & 9 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Location: Lyles Auditorium, Warkentine Culture and Arts Center

Ndombeson Productions previously staged the multidisciplinary performance HOPE in 2024 and continues to focus on artistic projects that explore resilience and emotional storytelling. Near Far Theatre, founded in 2019, supports artist-led productions throughout the region.
