LOS BANOS, CA — The Los Banos Fire Department is inviting families and community members to its Annual Autism Meet & Greet on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fire Station #1, located at 333 7th Street in Los Banos. The event is free to attend and open to individuals of all ages with autism or other disabilities, along with their families and caregivers.
Designed to foster understanding, comfort, and inclusion, the Autism Meet & Greet is more than just a public safety event—it’s a dedicated opportunity to create a positive, low-stress environment where individuals with sensory sensitivities can engage with emergency personnel in a safe and welcoming space.
Attendees will have the chance to explore the fire station, view fire engines and equipment up close, and meet local firefighters in a calm, supportive setting. The department has taken care to ensure the event is autism-friendly, featuring a low-stress environment, and snensory-friendly elements.
