LOS BANOS, CA (August 26th, 2025) – Today, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, is the final day for voters to participate in the City of Los Banos District 1 All Mail Special Election.

This election is being conducted entirely by mail, meaning there are no in-person vote centers in District 1. Voters must return their ballots by mail or drop them off at designated locations before the deadline.

If you have not registered to vote, you may still do so today by visiting the Merced County Registrar of Voters Office at 2222 M Street in Merced. Same-day voter registration and conditional voting will be available until 8 p.m.

For those who already have a ballot, there are two options to ensure it is counted. Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by today, August 26, and received by the elections office no later than September 2, 2025. Voters may also drop off their completed ballots in person at official ballot drop box locations.

In Los Banos, ballots can be dropped off at City Hall, located at 520 J Street, which is open today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, ballots may be delivered to the Mercy Springs Church of the Nazarene at 1248 Santa Barbara Drive, which is serving as a drop-off site today only, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Merced County Registrar of Voters Office is also accepting ballots. The office, located at 2222 M Street in Merced, is open today from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Services at this location include replacement ballots, conditional voter registration, accessible voting, and language assistance.

Election officials remind residents that because this is an all-mail election, there are no polling places open in District 1. To make sure your vote is counted, ballots must either be postmarked today or dropped off before the listed closing times at one of the official locations.
