The Holiday fun continues in downtown Los Banos

Downtown Lighting Ceremony attendees enjoying the evening

The Los Banos Downtown Association held their annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony on the evening of Thursday, December 8th at 6:00 PM on Main Street in downtown Los Banos.

Beautifully decorated Main Street had great entertainment, vendors, endless smiles and tons of fun – especially with that “snow” bubble machine that created so much joy for the children that attended.

Some highlights of the evening were the downtown lighting, performances from Dance Explosion, Los Colibri Folkorico Dance and Legacy Christian Academy Choir; story time and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus – and there was a special guest in attendance, 2022 Teen Universe California, Betzaida Mendoza!

Also happening simultaneously on Main Street was “Late Night Thursdays”, where downtown businesses such as: The Country Duck, Health Time, Los Banos Downtown Fountain, Fleur de Lis, Phoenix Books, JJ Tacos & Mariscos, Little Diamond’s Pizza and more offered late night shopping, dining and some even offered special deals. Sipsy’s Bevs on Wheels served up holiday themed coffee and cocoa and The Cupcake Lady was also in attendance for both events selling delicious cupcakes. There was even a chance to meet and take a picture with the Grinch at Phoenix Books.

According to the Los Banos Downtown Association’s Facebook page, sponsors of the Downtown Lighting Ceremony were Mid Valley Disposal, Sutter Health Memorial Hospital Los Banos, David Santos Farming, Anderson Homes, Cordeiro Custom Remodeling & Repair and Triangle Rock Products Inc.
