Hughson, CA (September 16 2025) — Jeramy Young has received the endorsement of Assembly Republican Leader Heath Flora, in his campaign for Senate District 4. In announcing his endorsement, Asssemblyman Flora stated, “With decades of experience in public safety, Jeramy Young would be a valuable addition to our legislative Republican caucuses. He will represent the Central Valley with integrity and a commitment to our shared Republican values. I fully support his campaign for State Senate.”

With over 30 years of experience in public safety and law enforcement, Jeramy Young has had a long and successful career serving the Central Valley. Young spent nearly 12 years with the Modesto Police Department before moving agencies to become a Captain in 2014, and Chief of Police since 2020. Young also served as a Hughson City Councilmember, from 2010 to 2016, and as Mayor from 2016 to 2020.

Young is running for California’s 4th Senate District, encompassing all or parts of Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Inyo, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne counties.
