
Los Banos, CA (December 13, 2025) — A shooting at a bar on I Street in Los Banos left three men injured early Friday morning, according to the Los Banos Police Department.
At approximately 12:14 a.m. on December 13, 2025, officers responded to reports of gunfire following a disturbance at a bar located in the 500 block of I Street. Upon arrival, officers located three adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
All three victims were transported to Modesto-area hospitals for medical treatment. Police reported that one of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries. The names and current conditions of the victims have not been released.
Detectives with the Los Banos Police Department, in coordination with the Merced County Sheriff’s Office, initiated an investigation at the scene. Through their efforts, officers identified a suspect and made an arrest shortly after the incident.
Reis Willis, 19, of Dos Palos, was taken into custody while allegedly attempting to flee the area. A firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered by investigators. Police stated the incident appears to have stemmed from an isolated disturbance and not a random act of violence.
Willis was booked into the Merced County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder. According to public arrest records, Willis had previously been booked by the Merced County Sheriff’s Office in July 2025 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon in an unrelated case.
